9. The Social Cause Campaign

As students of The Department of Visual Communication, Loyola College, we have come to believe that it is our responsibility to create social consciousness within ourselves and our peers. Also, as aspiring media personnel; we should make use of our urge to be creative to propagate awareness on a social cause effectively. The Objective of the ‘Social Cause Campaign’ Competition is to promote awareness to our peers .To create social consciousness. This year, we would like to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS.
Why AIDS? We have noticed that though our generation is quick to accept modern values, HIV/AIDS still remains a social stigma. The empathy for people with HIV/AIDS is deplorable. We would thus like to promote the awareness that:
Ø Developing HIV/AIDS is not a matter of choice
Ø It could happen to any one of us.
Ø The pain caused by HIV/AIDS can be alleviated by social acceptance
Ø People with HIV/AIDS can carry on productive lives, just like others

The topic – “Breaking the Stigma” (against People Living With HIV/AIDS)

Winning entries will be judged and acknowledged and used by TANSACS to spread awareness in and around the state besides availing cash prizes.
Competition details

Birth

Every dream deserves wings
Our dreams are manifestations of our true selves. For when we dream, we reveal the cornerstones of our souls.
But we lock these dreams up, afraid of what the world might think. And these dreams fade away, never to see the light of day.
Let your dreams live. Let them out of the cage. Give them the wings to take flight and let the world see them in their true glory.
On this note, the Department of Visual Communication, Loyola College brings to you
Reelive ‘09
A celebration of creativity, talent and appreciation for excellence in the mass media.
